You used the evil H word, Healer. We don't need no stinkin' healers. 
Buffs >> Heals
The buffs and heals from a Fire/Thermal are OK but don't forget you are still a fairly powerful range/AoE character due to Scourge which is a great way to finish off critters (plus all the lovely flames with Fire Blast powerset).

Keep your buffs up and you will be fine. You will have strong heals and good debuffs later on. While you level tho I do reccomend sticking to single target attacks, aoes cost alot of end. End that you will be needing for your squishy melee friends at low level. I would go into more detail but I'm posting from my phone lol

So my friends and i jumped back into the game after a long long break, and about 4 of us playing so far.
Kinetic/nin stalker
dual blade/will power scrapper
shield/SS tanker
so i decided to roll a more support style character however not a huge fan of defenders i decided to go fire/thermal as my support class. Big question i have though, will i be able to carry everyone through as a support oriented thermal healer/buffer or will it start to lack at some point. Not to sure how corrupter compares to other healers and really my question. I could do an empath and its crossed my mind however, my fire toon is level 10 and i just am curious how it will compare to other healers end game.
