Ambushes and Defendable Objects: Interfering with each other?
yes thats how its been as long as i can remember, adding a defendable object automatically adds 1 ambush that attaches to the object and uses the same settings as the object
i wish it didnt count in the ambush total though
So with the max ambushes in a mission being 6, then no matter how many ambushes I have, as long as its less than 6, the defendable object will get only 1 attacking wave?
I thought it was like 3 waves or something, I guess I'm misremembering.

3 waves is the standard for dev made mish objectives
but here in AE land defendable objects only have 1 default ambush but you can add more ambushs to the object for like different % of the objects hp or when the objectives is completed (i think i havent really toyed with this that much i know it works like that for boss objectives and destroyable object objectives)
Interesting. The result is a little different than the dev-mission 3-waves, but there's some interesting possibilities there.
1) After the objective completes means that the ambush triggered can't cause a failure of the objective.
2) As the object loses health means that it gets harder the worse you are doing. Interesting, but perhaps not the best choice.
I'll have to mess around with this a bit.

So I've been putzing around with a "Nintendo Hard" MA mission, trying to find a good balance of fun and annoying, if such a thing exists. Nothing to match some of the arcs I've seen advertised around here, (Into the darkness, Arcanaville's 2 arcs, etc), but something in that vein.
The basic jist of the mission is that you rescue a non-combattant but killable ally, escort him to an object, then defend it. Along the way are several bosses that have "At 3/4 health" ambushes tied to them. There are also ambushes tied to first collecting the ally and also arriving at the destination with the ally. All told the objectives look like this:
Ally (Rescue triggers ambush)
Boss (Damage triggers ambush)
Boss (Damage triggers ambush)
Escort complete (Triggers ambush)
Defendable object
Right now, the defendable object is only generating one wave of attacking enemies. Is this normal, or is it because I've overdone it on the ambushes? There's a lot of wierd and underdocumented oddities and "features" in the architect, and was wondering if I was running into one of them.
