*more gasping* Help save my PB too! (Dual form Build)
If I get Clarion, will that make Dwarf superfluous (given that HP will be high anyway, and resistance will be close to cap on teams)? Any big mistakes, little niggles or good advice? |
OMG! How like, totally kewl are these characters?!1
Hadn't actually looked at the build - I don't tend to (or post them, really.) But, as far as clarion (or any other incarnate power) making Dwarf superfluous...
That's why we have dual builds, should you want to drop it. (Or, with Incarnates unlocked, triple.) But consider what you want to do first.
See, Clarion will add mez protection, etc, sure. And you can take what you would slot in Dwarf and put it elsewhere. However, once you exemp down below 45 - you have no Incarnate powers (as I'm recalling. If I'm wrong, well, I'm wrong.)
Given WSTs have jumped all over the level range, it's probably a *good* thing to keep Dwarf around. You have him from 15 on up, assuming you took him at 20.) So it covers - well, every SF/TF. Plus, if you're aiming at sets, it's another place to put some bonuses.
I find it good to keep options open. (And, yeah, if you look at my guides, I am a proponent of multiple builds.)
Whenever I look at a build I like to see what it potentially can and can't bring to a team. My Peacebringer is almost pure but for haste and able to do all of the jobs I can expect from a pure build but not necessarily for a prolonged amount of time, what some people do is single out certain areas and improve on them areas which is what I see this build of yours as doing. There is not really much of a right or wrong imo. How you are slotting and is it worth slotting is what counts.
Your build has possibly for you more self preservation in mind but it also has defender potential and I am not talking about glowing touch. For tanking its not so hot to me, its for self preservation but atleast you can still pick out a niche. From a teamers perspective you've brought something. You've built unlike I or anyone might expect which might be why there has been a lack of help but it still has its perks. It could be that people think its fine.
Are your intentions as plain and simple as you've already said or is there more? From a team mates perspective I see goodies but you might not even know they're there.
Your ability to +dam, help ghost, -res, -fly, -def is all good. The things like grant invis at 24 is for a particular reason?
Its odd but odd is not always wrong. I will say from my angle that your human form melee attacks lack some acc. Radiant strike wouldn't be as accurate as you can afford to make it so it would be not as accurate as I would have it. Secondly if you are going to do what's done with glowing touch I would of had conserve energy instead. It's better to break into dwarf and taunt than to heal someone and then perhaps find the hps lacking. An extra slot in Light form could be nicer so its up more often, where from though, I'd prefer two in conserve if I was to change from Glowing Touch to it so would pull a dam proc from a Single Target attack somewhere. I tend to resist the dam procs in ST as it is unless I am completing a set as it does to my mind, over time, equate to a basic IO.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

More than happy to switch to Dwarf more though, to save using Lightform. Memphis Bill makes some compelling arguments about it's utility

This will be my first PB at 50. He's currently at 46, so gotta get his final build laid down. My hoping and praying for the devs to fix some issues notwithstanding
Gone for dual form. I'm gonna be making use of Stealth IOd Super Speed + Stealth to zip around missions/trials. Prefer Lightform over Dwarf, I think, but will use Dwarf to break mez or when things get hairy.
Decided not to go for defence, and I know that will mean more mez will hit, but it just costs a bit too much and sacrifices too much, I think. Willing to be told differently though.
Gone for HP, damage and recharge instead. Probably go for Spiritual.
If I get Clarion, will that make Dwarf superfluous (given that HP will be high anyway, and resistance will be close to cap on teams)?
Any big mistakes, little niggles or good advice?
I can post the full build on request.
Cheers!
