Anyone interested in providing a story for my arc?

I have tried creating stories then arcs, but it seems that the story keeps moving in directions that I can't make the editor satisfactorily create.
So I am creating an arc that is based on what I find to be fun gameplay and then going to try and fit a story to it.

The gist of it will bear some relative resemblance missions with many enemies, some traps, and some time limits. So there're objectives to accomplish in a certain amount of time and a whole lot of spawns and environmental factors working against you. I want it to be more about strategeries, team work, etc than about straight steam rolling.

I thought I would stick my head in here and see if this was the sort of thing that someone would be interested in collaborating on.
If not, I will eventually get around to doing the story side.
But I thought I would check in case the info could affect my plans.

thanks for your time

I too have run into the same problem. I think I have a great story, but I cannot get it to translate as well as I'd hoped in the design. Right now, I'm mostly bogged down with the character designs because of I'm picky about costume parts.

When starting your collaboration, it might help to give examples of arcs which you felt had good stories. That way, we can find out what you're interested in. Do you like having a Gothic-horror feel or something more swashbuckling instead? Do you want playful NPCs or very militaristic ones? Should the story have a heroic feel where the characters have a sense of duty as they are progressing through the arc, or do you want the story to be more of a downward spiral, where the characters descend deeper into depravity and larceny with each goal achieved?

I personally like heroic tragedies that are popular in Chinese martial art films or in some Japanese Anime. I love Gothic-horror but enjoy a good science fiction novel too. But mostly, I like anything with good characters (IE...I'm usually trying to right click on attackers for back story info while they're pounding their fists into me. hehe).

Collaborations are tough to do though. It requires that egos be left at the door. But when you have a good team, you get a synergy that's truly outrageous (wow, I can't believe I wrote that. I must be watching too much JEM on the HUB network lately).
