I think you'll just have to play with the extremes of brightness and darkness to find out which you find least-annoying.

It's funny, I turned the graphic's down and some things look better (like that water effect you get in the sewers, gone now).
Lemme ask the folks this, I was able to make cold's shields bearable by changing the color, but I find that snow storm is a bit much,
I turned down the graphics and it's better now but now I can barley see it, is there some color scheme that makes snow storm visible but not overwhelming?
