Strange water behavior.

MQ water is too much for my rig to handle. I get tons of lag and sometimes it crashes. LQ water runs perfectly fine though. So I keep it on that. Normally, LQ water looks like this:



However, when I switch from MQ to LQ, it looks like this:



I looked back at MQ water, and it doesn't look any different from this. So why do I get lag and why does it do this?

Did you push the 'Apply' button after changing the water quality?

Are you starting the game with the game's safe mode enabled? (Usually by checking the check box in the game's properties in the Launcher)
