Neko's short short movie reviews:
Pirates: Have not seen it, it got pretty much universally bad reviews as just a retread of the first movies as a cash grab.
Green Lantern: Good, not great. An adequate telling of the origin story. The various alien Lanterns came out well, but we don't see a whole lot of them. Picking Paralax as the first big bad guy was a bad idea. He was trumped up as this huge danger to the Corp, then Hal beats him solo...
X-Men: A good movie. Better than the last two X-franchise movies. Story changes and casting is full of WTF in a big way. Seriously? Kevin Bacon as Sebasian Shaw? As typical for super movies, they could have done with a little less mutant talky and a little more mutant fighty. Would having a danger room session kill them?
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.
Did not see a one of them. However Sherlock on Netflix is freaking AMAZING.

Pirates: garbage its too long and it looks great but its way too long and theres no real story
Green Lantern: I agree with neko 100%. Hal should have been beefier the guy who plays him was too skinny but funny.
X-Men: I agree with neko lots of action and fun.
of all three + thor i would do this order
1 gREEN LANTERN
2 X men
3 Pirates was bad
4 Thor sucked
and cap america looks great cant wait to see cgi on flying shield

I can go to a cheap matinee to see x-men next week...he might pass on gl..and thor Ill wait for cable..thanks...actually, have free movie passes to dulux 16 cinema across the island..ill use those to see gl, want to see the cgi and special effects on the big screen.

x-men- by myself next week, matinee
pirates- take nephew to cheap matinee next week
Green lantern, disappointed by bad reviews but when first heard about the movie I anticapted it..will use free tix to take him in 2-3 weeks BEFORE surgery.

X-Men was awful. If it was meant to be a reboot, why did they recycle all of the material from the first movies? If it was meant to be a prequel, why did they violate their own internal continuity? And if I was meant to like it, why did they give Magneto a frontal lobotomy and turn him into Wolverine with less hair and no claws?

Oh, I was wondering what that cheesy stuff was that floated past me..you were SO close to bringing me back..Anyway, I scooped up all the lab stuff and will be putting back in place tonight.
