Any scheduled trials on champion?

For the first time I decided to try my luck on the "LFG que" trials with my energy/electric brute on saturday around 10ish cst. I set in que for about 30 mins before I request help from the "help" channel on "where to meet" for the trials since the que is obvious a joke on live. (I was spoiled on the beta while participating on the keys trial.) So I sent out a few broadcasts in the RWZ while I continued to wait in que and of course it was a lost "cause". For a soloist who wants to give into his addiction to try the next level, I'm torn to try another server (I'm blaming bud for this since he noted "freedumb") or ask for if anyone has a "scheduled" trials I could join. Most of my toons are on the champion server and I'd like to introduce them to further progress on the trials. I'm a casual gamer so my nights are all thats available to me besides weekends (if scheduled).

I don't know about scheduled, but you can usually find trials running back to back in RWZ during the evenings.

EDIT: To clarify, tonight was a little odd all around with everything being kind of dead, not just the iTrials. Usually you'll see plenty of them starting up if you hang around RWZ during "prime time".

If I'm online I'm either usually forming a league or joining one. Good channels to tap into are: Champion BMT, Hammer Nation, Arena Chat, Broadcast in respective zones. But most importantly try using the search function and ask around also. Look for me if i'm online

The reason the invites were a "lost cause" is because if you're in the queue, then someone can't invite you directly from, say, Broadcast or /tell. Which is why I said in the Help Channel to leave the queue before goin' to RWZ.

You literally have no one to blame but yourself, in this case.

As Cobalt said, don't use the queue. It rarely works and often people forget to leave it, causing them to miss out on invites. From what you said below, it sounds like this was the main issue.

I lead a Lambda and a BAF trial around the time you said you were looking and I'm fairly certain someone else kept them going after I had left. I usually ask that people send me a tell so I can click on their name and invite them. This makes it easy if I'm flipping between channels/chats looking for people. It also helps if there are multiple trials forming up at once. If you had sent me a tell and not been in the queue, you definitely would have received an invite from me.

In terms of channels, if I'm the one leading the trial I will advertise in Broadcast and BMT of Champion. I've seen many other leaders start with Broadcast and then move onto the channels if they can't fill it from people in zone. This makes RWZ the best place to be if you really want to get in on a trial.

Alternatively, if you don't want to wait for one to start, there is always the option of forming one up yourself. If you have any questions about leading either trial, send me a tell @Amygdala and I'll be happy to help. There are still plenty of people interested in running trials these days. Going to another server is unnecessary.

I was in que for an hour and out of que for 30 minutes and gave up. I guess I'll takes the blame for it since I developed the borked que system to frustrate the heck out of everyone.

Thanks for tips.

My experience has been that trials are largely self-running these days, because almost everybody doing them at this point has run them enough that they don't need instruction. Every once in a rare while, you'll get someone who's doing it for the first time, and for them I'm happy to explain what to do, but generally you only have to make a very few decision points. There just needs to be someone in the RWZ with the initiative to start yelling for people to come join trials and do the inviting, and once you have the people, it's easy.

For BAF, all you have to do is decide if you're going to stop the escapees by intercepting them at the doors or standing at central points on the sidewalks and taking them as they pass. After that, keep an eye on the health bars of the AVs and call out if their HP difference gets too great. And even that second one is seldom necessary because a lot of people watch bars and switch on their own.

For Lambda, the decisions you make are which team goes after which temporary power, if you're going to deliberately leave a door or two open to make the bonus merit easier to get, and who gets all the pacification grenades.

This is all a bunch of gibberish if you've never run one of these before, and obviously things are different and more difficult if you're going for badges, but once you've run a trial a couple of times, you know enough to lead.
