Problems with Steam Going Rogue Collection

The Steam version says it includes City of Heroes/Villains, but all I see is Going Rogue. Please tell me I don't have to download a second client...

Also, I tried logging in and going through the tutorial. I decided to upgrade the graphics...my specs are beast, so I could've SWORE they could handle it. I pushed the graphics to max on everything, and it was extremely slow. After that, I decided to lower everything, so I pushed "set to default". The game freezes, stops all sounds, and then black screen with loading mouse symbol. I logged in again, tried it again, and still it crashes. So now, I can't play Going Rogue without lagging horribly.

It also does this just by playing max settings for a few seconds.

Your very first character on a new GR account must be a Praetorian. But, once you create that Preatorian and log into the game with it, you can log out and then back in and find you can make Heroes and Villains, too.

WRT your computer, check out this thread, Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines

Then post the results of these two programs:

  • CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
  • HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

Alright, I fixed it. Turns out the problem was the water. I can max everything else, but water can't be above low quality or else the lag goes insane. Depth of field caused lots of lag too, so I turned that off.

I hope NCSoft optimizes the water better eventually.

What kind of computer(video/hardware specs) are you running steam/coh on and what platform(window/Mac)?
