No cursor after installing NCsoft launcher

Try adding '-compatibleCursors 1' in your "Extra Command Line Parameters" in the game properties (right click on the game in the Launcher and select Properties).

Actually it is stranger than that. I didn't notice the new NCsoft Launcher icon on my Desktop and figured it just redirected the City of Heroes shortcut to the new launcher.
When I run CoH from the old shortcut, I see the new launcher pop up, launches CoH, disappears ("set to Exit Launcher") and then I see the CoH arrow until after I click on the CoH window the cursor disappears; although it exists once I move the cursor to outside of the CoH window.
When I run CoH directly from the new NCsoft Launcher I don't have a problem with the cursor.

After installing the new Launcher I no longer have a cursor in the game. I can still highlight things like the password section of the log in screen, servers, etc but I don't have an actual cursor anymore. It's a complete guessing game as to where I am in game so I must move my mouse around slowly until it highlights an area of the screen. I do have the latest driver for my video card as well as all updates from microsoft for my operating system. I'm running Vista 64 bit Home Premium.
I had to uninstall the NCsoft launcher and game then reinstall the game and let it patch through the Coh updater before I could play again and have a cursor. I'm a little worried since the Coh updater says the game will only be available through the NCsoft launcher soon. I've been playing for almost six years now and would hate to have to go to another game for my leisure time.
Please help.
