Couple of Questions

1) Trying to write a Crey story, that I would like to be higher level content... but all I get are Tanks for spawns. I'm sure there is a reason for this... I'd just like to understand why.
2) Is it possible to get a particular faction from a villain group: say Paragon Protectors or Mu? I'd like to use both of those factions in different stories, but I am not seeing a way for me to selectively choose.
3) can use build off of "Standard" critters to create a custom critter? I'm not seeing a way to do this, though I see references to filling out custom groups with standard critters (I don't see how I would do that either).

Thanks for your patience if you made it this far. Any help/tips/advice appreciated.

Ok, found my answer to #2 and part of #3 by delving into the UI.

Still wondering about 1 and part of 3

For some reason Crey goes up to level 50, but most Crey mobs (except for tanks) are lower level. Consequently, at around level 46 or so, only Crey tanks will spawn. I myself have a Crey-oriented story arc, Papers and Paychecks (arc id 298290), which ran into exactly this problem; my solution was to restrict all missions to be level 32-45, which lets a wider variety of Crey mobs spawn.

Sort of. You can create a custom faction, then add standard critters to it. You can then re-color the standard critters (to a limited degree; some parts of certain mobs can't be recolored, some mobs can't be recolored at all) and rename them to fit your new group's theme. You can mix & match mobs from different "standard" factions this way. You can see an example of this in the second mission of Talos Vice (arc id 338380), which has a custom faction full of "normal" mobs that have been re-colored and re-used.
