Fire/SS AE Fire Farm Build
Fiery Embrace is a must-have for doing damage. It deals extra damage in a way that no other damage buff does. It adds a 100% chance to proc on all of your attacks that does more damage when you do more damage. So, if you have Rage double-stacked, Fiery Embrace does even more damage.
You have some sets that don't add very useful bonuses to your build. Basically for farming you should get fire defense and recharge. Going past those set bonuses in any set is typically wasting slots. The 6th Adjusted Targeting and the entire Lady Grey set are two that I am referring to, but there are more in your build. Scirocco's would be a better set than Multi-Strike.
Fire Mastery isn't the best for farming. Melt Armor isn't worth using. If you want more AoE damage, Mu Mastery has Electrifying Fences and Ball Lightning. For single-target DPS, not many attacks can beat Gloom from Soul Mastery.
Look into Frankenslotting on Paragon Wiki. It is better than slotting generic IOs or SOs, even without set bonuses.
Procs should not be underestimated. They can add a lot of damage.
Why does a fire tank need fire defense? Already have capped resistance. Went with s/l/e/n defense on mine, so I can tank regular content, and he still runs ambush farms just fine.
Fire Tanks with cap resist to fire and soft capped defense to fire is a beautiful thing
I can run +4 x8 Fire farm maps all day long without having to worry about dieing and coming back from the hospital at all. I normally trigger all the ambushes and put my Burn on auto and come back a few minutes later and complete the mission
Many people like the Fire Cyborg mission and that's fine, but I run my own fire ambush map where the mobs have no Smashing or Lethal damage, it's pure fire, which works perfectly considering Fire armor tanks aren't capped to S / L resist. So with Soft capped defense to fire as well as capped resist to fire, I'm golden
I'm running perma hasten, with a 10 second Healing Flames, 7 second Burn Patch. I don't run or even have Blazing Aura, I know many people want it, but its not needed since I use this character specifically for farming the AE. This is my money maker so to speak.

Heh.
Blazing Aura is actually pretty good for AoE DPS.
Since they changed Reactive to not tick every time on Burn patches, I think Foot Stomp would be better to leave on auto due to Burn's 5 target limit.
I ran hero stats for 2 AE farms and here were the damage totals per attack:
Blazing Aura - 59,217
Burn - 22,472
Fire Ball - 56,691
Foot Stomp - 51,425
Ion Core Judgement - 53,282
Reactive Interface - 38,826
Which reactive do you use? I was thinking the 75% chance for damage resist due to it being 10% damage resist when stacked 4 times. However, after seeing that number from your HeroStats log, I may change course and go for the 75% chance for the fire dot.
I can't stress it enough; if you're running a fire farming build, you NEED Fiery Embrace. As mentioned before, it adds a 100% proc chance to each attack to do a lot of bonus fire damage. It's such a huge boost in DPS, it's not even funny. Get it and slot it for recharge. Also, Mu Mastery is better overall than Fire Mastery. You get 2 AoE attacks instead of just 1, and Melt Armor, while nice, is really only useful for the resistance debuff.
Some things I'd note from your build:
You shouldn't bother slotting boxing at all. The set you're using isn't giving you any useful set bonuses and Haymaker is better overall. I'd also recommend taking 3 or 4 slots out of rage. With only one application of rage up, you're still so far over the hit cap (haymaker has a 200+% chance to hit +4 enemies in your build) that any accuracy bonuses you go out of your way for are redundant. You can worry less about slotting for accuracy on your attacks and focus more on making them recharge faster or deal more damage (procs help with this).
Put a full obliteration set into burn, or a 5 set and a damage proc. Put 5 pieces of scirroco's dervish into blazing aura (it gives more endurance reduction), and a damage proc (even though it only triggers once every 10 seconds it's still a huge boost in dps). In fact, the more damage procs you can put into your attacks, the better.
You're putting way too many set bonuses into smashing/lethal, despite the fact that fire ambush farms don't have any smashing/lethal damage. Also, there is absolutely no reason NOT to put a force feedback: +recharge into foot stomp. It's one of the most important parts of playing any SS toon.
Don't focus on completing sets just for the bonuses. The only bonuses you should go out of your way for are recharge and fire defense. As a tank, you have more slack in the defense department compared to a brute, so Frankenslotting may be a better option for you. Also, as a tank, you can try to get +damage bonuses from your sets if they're easily attainable. I would not recommend this for a brute, however.
Here is the Fire / SS build I use for my fire farm map.
I do have 3 purple sets but they can be replaced with whatever you want until you can afford to purchase them.
Or at the very least maybe my build will give you a few ideas to tweak your build. But I don't have a single problem with my build, it works perfectly

(Updated)
Thanks for the replies. Some changes I made:
- Dropped Pyre Mastery for Mu Mastery
- 5 slotted haymaker for 5 piece Mocking Beratement fire defense
- Picked up Fiery Embrace and 2 slotted for recharge
- Added force feedback proc to footstomp
- Added damage proc to blazing aura and burn
Does the build look pretty good now?
Would it be worth it to invest in a purple damage proc such as Armageddon: Chance for Fire Damage?
Thanks.

43.2% Fire defense I think should be ok.
I originally posted a Brute build, but it didn't take advantage of Tanker defense levels. My goals were to get permanent Hasten and permanent double-stacked Rage, with 32.5% defense, all without going too crazy with the budget. Assuming any use of Footstomp in a crowd, I think I hit the goals.
I know that people look down on procs in damage auras, but the Armageddon proc adds a nice chunk of damage over time. Those ticks will add up quickly in a farm, so I think it's worth it here. Replace with a cheaper proc to save 400M or so. Alternately, move that slot to one of your toggles for a -KB IO (in case you wander outside the AE on occasion and forget to switch builds).

Hey,
So I have this Fire/SS tank for the purpose of farming AE +4/8 fire farms (like crey's cyborgs). I do pretty well but wanted to know if there were ways to squeeze even more performance out of the build. Should I drop something to pick up Fiery Embrace? Can I do something to add more damage? I know the slots aren't perfect and I'll probably respec after getting feedback.
