I assume you mean Arch/Kin Corr vs Kin/Arch Def?

Like most Corr vs. Def arguments it comes down to Solo vs Team.

The Corruptor will do more damage and is easier to solo. With Scourge you can really burn though your foe's HP.

The Defender will be more team oriented, they have higher buff and debuff values. You'll be on the low end of the damage output but you'll better protect allies and boost their damage.

It's like apples and oranges. Both are good, you need to pick the one for you.

Depends on what you want to play? For lower level stuff, the defender is more team friendly (SB, FS, Transference, etc by level 32 and exemps down to level 27) For everything else the corrupter is pretty much better, in the sense that you lose something like 3% off your heal, 10% off transference's end mod, and 5% off per FS. In the end it comes out to a 240% damage buff vs a 300% I believe. But with scourge is awesome and chances are someone else on your team will help you make up for the missing buff mods.

Oh and of course scourge lets you do 2x normal damage, at your damage cap. So that is pretty great.

speaking of dmg buff 1 of the powers in Soul Mastery offers a per target dmg buff that is worth up to 40% is it worth it? requires the user to get into melee range which sound like a bad idea for a squishy

Any Archery Corruptor here? Does each DoT from Rain of Arrow get Scourge chance, or the game only checks it once?

I have a feeling the game checks it 3 times so you'll have a chance to score 3 scourge if the target's health is below 50%?

If the game checks for scourge 3 times, then I'll go with Archery/Kin. Doesn't Corr also have higher damage cap at 500%? Defender is what? 400%? You don't need damage cap to kill things but if you want the full potential of +damage and mini-nuke, I guess Corr is the way to go.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

All the corruptor rain powers (RoA, Rain of Fire, Ice Storm, blizzard) check for scourge on each tick - 3 times for RoA and like 76 times I think for the others. The only rain-like power that doesn't check on each tick is dual pistols Hail of Bullets - and thats because its not a pseudo-pet type rain, its an actual AE dot power so it only checks on the initial attack roll.

Oh... I'll definitely choose Archery/Kin over Kin/Archery then because when you have enough +damage and maybe one damage proc, you can score Scourge on the 2nd and 3rd DoT on minions.

Soul Drain? Eh, I'd recommend something else as the PPP version has double the recharge. FS and SP should take care of your buffing needs. Also, while it does seem like a bad idea for squishies to be in melee, kinetics greatly encourages it once you get FS. Basically it's a jump in, use FS, and then back off to just outside of transfusion's effect range. Siphon speed doesn't help matters, especially once you've grown accustomed to keeping it double stacked and even triple stacked depending on your IO build. Suggestion for that - take hover as it will slow you down enough to have some movement control while under siphon speed effects. Hover's also good for hovering over a spawn, just outside their melee range. This lets you get all of your buffs with less risk.

EDIT: I wrote sleep instead of seem... I need to stop making posts in the whee hours of the morning while I'm at work lol

SG: Guadians of Paragon - VG: Paragon's Darkness
The Usual Suspects: Fimboolvetr (Icer Tank), Tsukiyomi (Mind/Psi/Ice Dom), Smiting Dragon (Dm/Sr Scrap), Widow Mortis (NW)
Up and Comers: Ameterasu (Km/Reg Scrap), Arrhymian (Elec/Nin Stalk), TDMKII (Bot/Traps MM)

It's not a huge deal in most maps, but you'll have a greatly easier time in cave maps. Cave maps + speed =
