Anybody have a Fire/SS top-end build?

See thread title.

I've seen Nihili's thread about the solo speed master run he did, and was wondering if anyone else out there has a top-end high-damage/high-recharge fire/ss.

I may have a project toon in my future.

A Brute might be a better choice if you are looking for DPS. Tankers don't have much of an advantage over Brutes in this case.

Ehn, maybe so, but I actually LIKE tanks.

Nobody has one? Ehn, guess I'll wing something together in Mids, then, and see how it goes.

I've got a pretty high end fire/ss/pyre but I wnet near softcap defense on him to be able to main tank all the big bads. So...high end but not a full on rech/dmg which seems to be what your looking for. I'll post it up if you want comparison though.

Isn't perfect or all that special for ST DPS, but I enjoy the survivability, ST damage output (Breaks 300DPS with reactive) and has enough AOE DPS to solo 5 AV's at the same time, as well as the survivability to handle the new incarnate trials. (Solo'ing warehouse/lab in Lambda)

Having 86% Res to S/L on a fire tank is pretty darn sexeh too.

*Edit* uses tier 4 Barrier for Destiny slot.

Soul I'd say is a better choice for an epic, but I'll stick with fire out of concept.

Sure, a comparison case might be nice. My fire/fire is moderately defense specced and still kills like a machine.

What is the feeling on rage? I've usually hated it in the past, the crash makes me (more) insane, but if I have a handy Incarnate nuke, wand, and consume, maybe I could learn to deal.

I usually run rage whether or not there is a kin around for the bonus to hit. (If not, go for double stacked) and pretty just fire off Footstomp, taunt and maybe consume if I need it through the crash. Sands of Mu is great if you want to keep attacking and burn 3+ seconds in animation time while still giving you an AoE, during the crash.

Here's what I'm running on live. Pretty sure it could be tweaked further but anyway......

For incarnate goodies I am running
Cardiac Core Paragon
Ageless Partial Core Invocation
Reactive Partial Radial Conversion
Seer Partial Radial Improved Ally
Void total core Judgement.

The heal is underslotted but I never use it anyway. Rage used to bug me, now I use that crash to pop Void and Ageless though I did use Sands of Mu to fill in the past. Seers speed up AVs and EBs but I don't normally bother with them otherwise.
Hope the comparo helps.

Spotted one difference from live actually. Pull one end mod out of stamina and throw the slot into BA as a acc/dam.

And thanks for the thread because it got me thinking (dangerous I know) and I found a few ways to beef it up even more.
With the tweaks it puts me over the softcap on s/l and very very close on nrg/neg. It also gives me more recharge and recovery.
Of course it costs me a glad proc but.....

Wow.

A fire tanker, softcapped to S/L/E/N, and that STILL is a viable build.

Yeah, there's plenty of compromises in that monster, but nothing crippling. Well done, sir!

The builds are everywhere, and you can look at Brute builds, but of course they're more speed based than tanks.

Search the tank forum for "plasma jab" and that should get them.

Thanks

He's been through more than a few respecs along the way. And honestly, in retrospect, I probably should have gone with FE over cj+lotg 7.5 but at that point in the build its splitting hairs.
There is no way I could match the damage output of a monster like nihili's. But I can main tank anything I feel like, and no one in their right mind will call it "low damage".
