There is the Suggestions forum where players make suggestions - some of the better of these have been implemented in one form or another but it is not by any means official - you would just have to watch the Announcements for that and there have not been any recent ones on that topic.

Pole/staff melee is known to be on the whiteboard. What that means in terms of how soon we see it is unknown. My guess is not Soon(tm). I think that's the only new forthcoming set that we know of.
