Storm/Archery Build Critique Please

So this is my new defender. I think I got the gist of how to slot from looking at some of this forum's posts. Now I know many of you may disagree with how I slotted for Snap Shot and Fistful of Arrows, as well as for the lack of Ranged Shot (I don't think I'd want a snipe on a defender), but after messing around for a bit with invention sets and the numbers, I just couldn't seem to get enough damage out of them. Snap Shot and Fistful of Arrows are already slotted up on my defender and the damage even now seems anemic. I'd like to think the debuffs that I have will somewhat compensate for the lack of damage on those two powers.

Some of the I.O. set choices are intentional as I want to try out debuffing as well as keeping down the cost of my build as much as I can while trying to maintain some sense of quality. Overall, I think my build looks good, but I'd like to know what you guys think.

I don't think that is a build I would want to play. Overslotted Hover and Thunderclap. Underslotted the attacks you've mentioned. Tornado is a great source of damage particularly good on AVs. 6 procs could go in Freezing Rain I believe. If the build is pushed, its end heavy and dark consumption wouldnt come quick enough. Thats my thoughts without Mids to look at as I am at work. So with Mids I would, if I were you, turn them percentage bonuses that look good into real terms. Give yourself a power chain, what would you do in a 20sec fight duration, 5 sec recovery, 20 sec fight duration etc baring in mind how often powers are up. You might only use a power every 3 groups. Also set yourself up for AV fights, there is no kin, there is no other support but you to rely on. How would you hold out. Def debuffing is not that important considering most peoples builds.

I will point you to the guide in my sig, although it doesn't cover Tornado and LS yet...they're coming soon (but probably a month away).

My general thoughts looking over the build is that you have been too erratic. Your have tried to go for a little of every type of defense, and as a result are soft capped to nothing. You will be far stronger soft capping ranged than dabbling a little in everything. Because Hurricane essentially negates melee attacks building for melee defense can be a waste.

Snow Storm: just put an end reducer in there, with FR you're already at the recharge cap.
Steam Mist: that run speed IO doesn't really buy you any extra defense, and won't make much difference to your playing
Freezing Rain: Accuracy is of minimal importance in Freezing Rain, and I wouldn't worry too much about the defense debuff. See the guide for more detailed FR information. Recharge, Recharge, Recharge, is the short version. Again, hurricane makes melee defense a waste, and if you want defense, go for the soft cap. The difference between 35 and 45% defense is massive.
Hurricane: I don't find the FF proc to be useful for my playstyle, but your results may very.
Tornado: Gah, you went for IO set bonus again instead of slotting for the power. Damage and recharge in Tornado, defense debuff is of tertiary importance. I understand your desire to debuff, but you will not see much difference in having more defense debuff. Honestly you would be better off (depending on how much you use it) going 3 damage, 2 recharge, 1 endurance IO. You would be better off going for something like blood mandates or expedient reinforcements.
Health: over slotted, remove one of those IOs, and make the other a miracle heal.
Stamina: again over slotted in your quest for set bonuses: 4 is the max stamina should really have: 1 end, 2 end/something, 1 +end.

Also, my prediction is that build may feel slow to solo, due to underslotted single target attacks and lack of a full attack chain, but if it works for you, great.

6 slot PerfShift gives 3.125 AOE..you could easily get that by slotting Aegis in Tough.

I used to slot for regen, but it really is a waste especially when your HP is hovering around 1000.

If it were me, I'd slot for ranged defense only on a stormy.

Aegis also gives you nice fire/cold def

Thanks for all of your input everyone. Hindenburg, I think I'll be going with your modified build sans Combat Jumping though. Otherwise, thanks for the fix. I'm more or less used to I.O.'ing for tanks, not defenders.
