Nobody knows the truth, and the devs have not made any comments. I'm sure they are aware of it, since it's been a known issue for a while.
As of right now, it seems no Lore pets boost positional defense, only the few typed. I hope this is not WAI, but if it is then it pretty much decides for me which T4 I will be going for. Typed defense on both my incarnates is useless since their positional is still higher.
Don't mistake coincidence for fate.

On a side note, how is Seer's damage? I just got tier 3 Clockwork and man, Dismantle is a beast with his range attacks. Seer's damage numbers seem slower but their recharge and activation are a lot less too.
Originally my fortunata was going to get Seer just to complete the "theme" but my damage is heavily resisted against Robots so I end up going with Clockwork because their damage type is energy which does good damage on Robots and things that resist Psionic.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
Thanks, fellow forum runners. I feel like I got caught flat-footed because I normally at least try to look these things up myself so I do not look like a complete fool by asking something that is/was obvious to everyone else.
Shame, though, the buff was about the only thing I really wanted out of the Seers. I would have gone with the bots for -Regen instead had I known a little more. Here is hoping this is not WAI.

On my Scrapper, I selected the Seers in an attempt to bolster my Defense (via Fortitude) for the incarnate content and a support against Devouring Earth. However, Seeker Fort only provides Defense to typed-damage versus every other version of Fortitude (which provide typed and positional).
Is this working as intended and I just screwed up by not looking (I only found out just now you can not only see the details/powers of the pets, but the details of the powers they use), or is this actually something worth bringing up to the attention of more important people?
