Looking for group, you say?

So I have a level 41 Blaster, my main, who has to this day never joined a supergroup.

There's a couple reasons, partly because I usually solo, partly because I never found one that was okay with players who might be gone for stretches of time, partly because I had this silly notion of helping to found a new SG, and partly because I really hadn't the least idea how to find a decent one.

Now, however, I find that my levelling has stagnated in the past five levels or so, my main is still only level 41 after twenty-six months active, and my sole pursuit of any enjoyment is perusing the patrons of Pocket D for non-stupid, non-erotic RP. Granted, I've found some, but it's still not terribly satisfying, so I now put it to you thus.

Does anybody have an SG that would provide a loving home for an RP-seeking, sporadically-active mage-type character of middling-high level?

Alternatively, does anybody have ideas for starting a new SG along those same lines?

If none of those strike your fancy, and no one else responds to this thread in a time period that you think is fair...then start your own SG and add it to the SG/VG threads stickied up top.

You're most welcome to check out The Paragon Universe; it sounds like you'd fit in with our crowd. It's my hero side hangout for RP, and we've got regular teams monday and thursday nights. There's also a redside version that we occasionally hop to.

I'm part of a very small SG of like 3 or 4 friends named "AUX" that team together when we can and when schedules align. We're RP friendly, though we don't officially set up RP events or anything. No website or voice chat ATM as our small number doesn't really warrant it. Feel free to drop me a line here or in-game if you're interested, I've also posted our group in the Virtue SG Recruiting boards.

I've looked at Paragon Universe previously. It's intriguing, but I'd rather avoid any massively huge SGs.

That's been a problem with the LFM sticky, as well. Mostly not appropriate for him or else too large for me to feel comfortable.

That AUX group, however, I would be interested in learning more about. Is there any sort of unifying theme?

No, not really. Our base is presently under a massive overhaul, converting from Tech based to a modernized monastary. The origins of the group was a government team of supers set to protect Paragon, but we are now a privately funded group...think mercenaries with morals.

As for activity levels, we have a couple of college students, one who normally will let their account laspe while classes are in session though she will sneak on using another account on occasion. Most of us play pretty casually, normally only logging in a couple days a week, so long absences are not frowned upon. We understand that RL always takes precidence.

We don't hold anyone accountable to any set prestige amount, we only ask that until 34 you do run in SG mode as well as be respectful to the other members in the group. We do have our own SG chat channel that most use as well as a couple coalitions.

Tram, if you want an SG to call home, I have a semi-solo SG (A friend of mine and I have about 15 alts each in there) that has a nice, moderately large, fully functional base with all the amenities a hero (or vigilante) could ever need. It's called Vigilantes of the Night, and is RP friendly. You can send me a global tell in game if you'd like a tour and/or invite. @Flaming Current
