Spines / Fire Aura Build Questions

Shield Wall 3% resistance is a waste of INF on almost any character. It barely reduces incoming damage unless you're a tanker using it to go from 87% to 90% S/L or E resistance, in which case it reduces about 30% of incoming damage. But, its your INF to waste how you want to.
Two KB protections is reasonable. KBs stack and you don't want to be overwhelmed with them.
I think I could make a build with 20% defense (2 small or 1 medium inspiraton to soft cap) and perma-Hasten. For now, take a look at my Spines/Fire build with 32.5% positional defenses. I don't feel the need for Hasten due to the long activation times on Ripper and Spine Burst.

Firstly, grats on the first post. Also, take my opinions with a grain of salt, I am speaking from experience using the same theory as you for spines/fire (more damage faster is more important than me dying, esp with a self rez). That means I can give you advice from your side, but since I don't often bother soft capping resist builds, not so much from theirs. Lastly, I took fire mastery because fire blast > Lunge, fire ball = more fire embraced fueled goodness.
I think you may be overselling yourself on recharge. Sure, it's nice to be able to use healing flames as much as possible, but past 60-70% you're not really helping your AoE damage since you always have spine burst, throw spines, or ES/FB/ET ready.
Also, same goes for endurance recovery at a certain point with /fire. You HAVE an end recovery power, and the damage is not as laughable as it may seem, given its radius. Especially with high recharge, I've been running at 2.96 recovery for ages, never had an end problem with both auras and shields running (with tough you start to eat into it, but my rech is only 50% on an incomplete build).
Best advice here, OBLI'S for a spines/fire, slot that sixth obli, take the 17% melee defense you can get from those alone (+significant s/l) and you will be much more survivable at hardly any cost, 17% for a spines/fire is survivable enough since you can easily melt spawns in half the time you could if you bothered soft capping (esp since you can do so with 2 purples) and sacrificing damage/rech/acc. Unless you're trying to do +4 farming or that sort of challenge (but you don't right?)
Decimation and Positrons blast (5 slotted) can make up some recharge in powers you've 4 slotted (you can retrieve that from the over rec slotting in health).
Consider taking temp protection as your resist slot mule, (free fire res cap) for something else...
and for your recovery you lost in changing health's slotting, get the atlas medallion and portal jockey, they dont take long, a free +10 endurance will make up for much of that.
And, lastly, if you wind up taking fire mastery ever, and lose your inherant KD. Slot Fireball with the Ragnarok KD (33%) proc. It's huge for surviving the return fire after you've launched YOUR alpha.

So I decided to try a Scrap. 90% of my toons to date are Tanks & Brutes. I don't recall ever making anything fire related since fire is always so popular and popular annoys me. Never really been a min/maxer, usually more a concept fella. That said, I've always built for survivability. Until now... Figured I'd go completely against my usual grain and just kill stuff and embrace my own potential fiery death.
Spines / Fire seemed the logical way to go.
Right up front, let me answer what I think may be a few questions.
1) Clearly I've built for recharge. But come up short of perma hasten. I realize this and I'm ok with it. I'm close enough (<5 sec) for me.
2) It's an expensive build. To me at least, not sure what folks consider pricey or not, but with three 5 slotted purple sets, a smattering of PvP sets, the Shield Wall +res, Numina +regen, etc... I realize it's costly.
3) Speaking of the Purple sets. Why Absoute Amazement in RotP, especially when I know there is a contingent against taking RotP in the first place (which I can't totally disagree with to be honest)? Well the set bonuses obviously. I can use all the +recovery I can get, the fire/cold +res helps me stay fire res capped without TempProt and of course the 10% recharge. All this, and I've already used Armageddon elsewhere.
4) Epic choice. Struggled here. Body Mastery was the obvious alternative but hear me out. Targeting Drone = Focused Accuracy; A wash there. This is key for me because while it may be end expensive, it allows me to not slot accuracy really anywhere on my powers. So it came down to Physical Perfection and Energy Torrent vrs. Caltrops and Exploding Shuriken. Tough call because PP would be a welcome addition but I'm trying to do something new for me so preventing the baddies from running away from my flaming pointy death was too tempting to pass up. ES seems > ET to me so that is just gravy.
Oh, other things of note:
Immob Prot: The Burn recharge : Immob prot duration ratio seems sufficient to me, no Combat Jumping needed.
End: I think this is clearly the main concern with the build (that and faceplanting) and I'm not sure Consume is going to fill the void for me.
KB Prot: I know I have both of the KB Prot procs and may not really need both, but I HATE getting knocked down. It makes me angry and I need to avoid it at all costs.
So without further adieu, the build.... I'd really like some constructive feedback and any glaring omissions / errors that I've made. Thanks all!
