EPIC COSTUME CONTEST!!
on march 18 Rogues Radio's very own DJ Torm (that's me) is going to be hosting a co-op Union and Defiant costume contest.
2 seperate contests! one epic theme!
the time will be from 11pm-1am gmt! (yes you heard right everybody, an EPIC! 2 hour long contest!)
"but dj torm!? how can a contest last 2 hours and still be interesting?"
well i'll tell everybody!
the rules go like this!
on friday, (the 18th) at the start of my regular music set, i'll be giving you a brief intro to that nights rock opera music set! and you have until the end of the music set (2 hours) to complete your costume!
"what about the costume theme!? "
that my friends is the fun part!
as my rock opera's all have a theme or a set of characters your costumes will be based on those themes or characters!
"i don't get it!?!"
an example!: i play a rock opera that tells a story about a magical dragon and a brave knight, so then you, the contestants, would base your costume on the story, so, for example you might dress your self up like a knight, or possible a dragon, or maybe even one of the minor characters in the story, like the high king who sends the knight on his quest!
what ever ideas for a costume the music gives you will be accepted!
"but how will that be judged?!"
the judges will be listening in on the music set too, and the costumes they pick will be those that they think best fit the story told out during the set!
"so we're not all dressing like the same thing?"
no! in fact, the more original and diversified from everybody else you are, the better! =D (so if everybody dresses light a knight, and you're the only dragon, you're going to stick out like a sore thumb, which will DEFINATELY make you more noticeable! which is a good thing)
"what's the prize?"
prizes will be as follows
1st place: 1mil
2nd place: 0.5mil
3rd place: 0.25mil
everybody else will get 10k for participation =D
this is also PER SERVER!! (meaning union gets a 100mil prize and defiant also gets a 100mil prize)
*discretionary: for every 10 people who show up i'm going to add an extra 0 to the end of the prizes, so if 10 people show up, first place will be 10mil, or 20 people show up, first place will be 100mil, after that if 30 people show up it'll be 200mil, up to a max of 300mil for 40+ people (i have to draw the line somewhere or i'll run out of moneys D: )
