After seeing all the archery posts...

I decided to role an arch/kin. I'm level 35 right now and enjoying it. I'm getting close to fulcrum shift, so that's exciting. When I made this guy I was thinking RoA + FS = awesomeness.. but now I'm not sure

Rain of arrows cast time is long. Possibly good for setting up scourge, but ppossibly bad for trying to stack with FS. If I'm giving my entire team such a large damage buff, along with recharge buff, will they kill most of the enemies before I can use FS and RoA?

Maybe I'm overthinking this a bit, but for anyone else that plays an arch/kin, how does your perform in a large team setting?

I'm obviously not an expert, but I would FS one spawn and then ROA the following while you are still buffed from FS. Otherwise, yes, unless your team is low AOE damage, they will obliterate the same spawn before you can FS+ROA most likely.

Yeah, that makes sense, but isn't that gonna be a waste of fulcrum shift, if I skip it on the next group? Or will FS even be up that quick? Just curious if these two present any minor problems for anyone. I mean, the set looks great, even if I don't throw out the most effecient FS possible.

Just use Fulcrum Shift on one mob and use your normal AoE attacks. On the next spawn open with RoA. FS recharges fast enough so that you can keep it perma fairly easy. It's possible that you'll have a hard time using FS>RoA if your team is killing things fast enough but you'll always have it ready for the next spawn.

With my Kin/Arch defender, I went with capped S/L/E/R defense, and it is definitely possible to get off a Fulcrum Shift/RoA before everything is dead as long as you are the first one in the middle of the spawn.

Alternatively, as the others have noted, you can FS one spawn, then on the next one drop RoA, if you queue up FS while RoA is activating, you'll get the buff before your target is dead.

Lastly, yes, you will inevitably drop RoA on many a dead mobs on your way to 50... So be prepared for that... =)

I can understand some frustration when you can't make use of the combo you spent forty levels building up to but if the spawns are dying too fast to make use of your nuke, you're being a good kineticist and can focus on it while enjoying a steamroll. On teams where they aren't you can go a long way toward making up any lack of AoE damage and enjoy the amazed looks on your team's faces as you melt them your own self.
