I just want to play the game again :(
everytime i start city now it is either running so it feels like my watching grass grew, or i have to play on the lowest graphic setting. I have up dated the drivers for my video card, ran virus scans on 3 programs (bell anti virus, norton and avg) and nothing ! Other games are running just fin on higher/highest graphics setting (sc2,dcuo,FO:NV, ) it is just city! when i19 hit i started to have to turn down my graphics setting but now it is just painfull to play. is this happening to anyone else? also i just upgraded to windows 7

Second, what graphics card are you using?
More detail about your system would be very useful for determining a problem:

Okay first off, you have three antivirus solutions? Or did you run one, uninstall, run the next, uninstall, run the next?
If you have all three installed simultaneously, NO *BLEEP!*ING WONDER your machine is slower than frozen whale snot. You essentially have three different AV mechanisms duking it out for for supremacy on the system. Worse, you have them eating pretty much all your system resources to do it. And to toss snow onto this mountain, the things they're trying to "clean" are EACH OTHER.
i only keep the bell one on my system at any time , i have norton and avg on disk/thumb drive, therealy big thing is _it is only doing this for city!_
Open GL games are very GPU intensive and with the upgrade they did it is more so now. I was running a 260 GTX 712 core OC'd and an older AMD 4400, and had to turn down some things to stay in playable frame rates. Your card isn't much lower than that one.
Start with turning off ambient occlusion, then take down your shadows. You may need to lower the draw distance some as well. By doing those I was able to keep near 32 fps in most of the game, even in Pratoria.
Ok, asking you one question at a time is like pulling teeth. So run these two programs.
CoHHelper and Hijackthis
This will show us your settings, how much memory you have available, which programs might be interfering, if all your drivers are correctly updated etc...
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
