Katana / Willpower (KAT/WP) i19 - Cardiac Core
As a /WP, you should have more than enough end recovery that you won't gain any benefit from the Cardiac Alpha boost. The resistance bonus is also minimal, at about 5% S/L. When you are very far from the cap, that 5% S/L resistance isn't doing you much good.
The Nerve Alpha boost would be of much more benefit to you. Increasing your healing and getting closer to perma-Hasten is much better than a 5% S/L resistance increase.
I would suggest going for S/L defense. Soft capping F/C and E/N does you no good when you have to use an inspiration to soft cap S/L. Drop Divine Avalanche as a defensive power. Get all of your defenses to 32.5%, then add recharge bonus.
Also, Physical Perfection is probably overkill.

I haven't played around with Weapon/WP builds, but my first impulse would be to get to 45% E/N/F/C and use a single DA rotation. I wouldn't be particularly concerned about S/L Defense, but if the going gets tough that's what SoW and double-stacked DA rotations are for. Or whatever inspirations are handy. :P

I am not sure what your budget is, so some of these might not be an option for you.
- Slot 5 Hecatomb (all but the dmg one) and the Achilless' Heel proc into GC.
- Change the DA slotting to 4 Kinetic Combat (those can be easily earned with a merits) and two Lysosome Exposures (below 10 mil each, last I checked), doing this will soft-cap you to lethal with one DA and increases DA's accuracy.
- Consider slotting 3 Eradication and 3 Cleaving Blow into some ae powers (at least instead of the current GD slotting) to get more e/n def, which might free other powers up to get you other things that you are missing (like some more melee def)
- c/f def is not very important, it's nice to soft-cap it, but i would advise you to first see that you have lethal and melee def capped with one DA, next is e/n, only then f/c.
- Try not to build for double stacked DA. You will miss with it from time to time and when switching mobs you always loose time. It is far safer and more convenient to only have to rely on one DA in normal situations. You can always double/triple stack it when fighting defense debuffers.
- The res you get from High Pain Tolerance is minuscule, you don't have to feel obligated to slot for it. I see that it's also for f/c def atm, but there might be other options.
- Consider slotting a Kismet unique.
As was already said, cardiac alpha is generally not necessary with WP. I'd suggest either spiritual (recharge/heal) or musculature (damage/end mod), depending on what you like better/need more.

I'm having a bit of trouble or what to do.
I reworked the build posted above, with the same powers (im not sure which epic to choose? what would be the best - currently running body for physical eprfect/focused accuracy) the other i thought of was weapon mastery for caltrops (fun power) and targeting drone. not sure about anythign else. any ideas are welcome.
The build will most likely be using musc for the dmg/end mod as I have not used musc in any of my toons, mainly been using spirtual. although the rech/healing sounds nice as well. let me know about this as well or what yalls opinions are.
If anyone has a k/wp build i can check out to get some ideas let me know!

Iggy - why tactics over focused accuracy?
Is there a difference?
Tactics has a lower end requirement which means you're more likely to be able to keep it running all the time, plus it buffs teammates. Focused Accuracy on the other hand has to hit debuff resistance, which is why I prefer it.
Concerning the build: I would try to get the Kismet unique back in there. My build doesn't have much global accuracy and afair I am not at 95% against +4s with the Kismet, so I would really try to keep that in there. All else looks good.
Rina - did you toggle focused accuracy? In the build it's not running due to the buildup component.
Also what are the accuracy numbers for 95%against +4?
And Tactics might be a possibility.
No, I didn't toggle FA because you will not be able to keep it up constantly in long fights, that's its disadvantage. Personally I only have it running if I know that I will face defense heavy and/or to hit debuffing enemies (nemesis, carnies, CoT,...) or obviously when I see that I got debuffed. To check accuracy against +4 go into Mids under Options -> Configuration -> Exemping & Base Values -> Base ToHit -> 39.
I just checked it and my build doesn't reach 95% for GC and SD, without the Kismet it doesn't reach it anywhere.
Ok thank you been trying to figure that out. I'm running fa on my ma.sr scrapper and I don't like toggling fa whenever needed. Sounds like I should pick up tactics to have it constanly running and pick up conserve power. Let me know about that
rina - for future what exactly does the changing to '39' mean. ?
39 is your base To-Hit for +4s. By switching your base To-Hit to 39 in Mid's you can quickly see if you're capped against +4s.

Ok I have just completed 2 builds that follows. One using musc. alpha and the other using spirtual alpha. This is pretty close to the build of iggy's with just a few things moved around.
I put tactics on one and focused accuracy.
against +4's accuracy on both builds is 95%^ all powers, except for soaring dragon - stuck at 87.61% - i cant seem to get it up to 95 without running t/fa.
I like the idea of not having to toggle tact/fa most of the time except for soaring dragon.
Let me know what ya think!
Basically what I want to know is the damage+increase from musc better compared to the +rech and +extra regen from healing.
EDIT: Also conserve power? Yes or no? ANything else to replace it?

I'm not sure I understand what you're going for with Accuracy. Do you intend to toggle Tactics or Focused Accuracy on for Soaring Dragon and then turn it off immediately after the attack?
I think it's good to aim for being capped with all attacks against +4s with Tactics on and capped against +3s with it off. It's not a bad idea to have extra Accuracy in Divine Avalance in case you have to fresh it on a Rikti drone or something.

ok well dropping the kismet and puitting in a 7.5+ rech gives me +3 with no tactics and +4 with tactics??

Seems like an overall good build running the cardiac core alpha. Chose it because of the end red. and the 20% +resis I can get out of it, let me know what you guys think.
