Thoughts on a DM/DA build?
And now that I've sorted out my recharge calculations I see that this build isn't even close to capable of the Smite-Siphon Life-Smite-Midnight's Grasp chain. 234% in Midnight's Grasp? Youch.
I can see that happening is if I drop some defense and mule in some basilisks and purple sets, but even then that's a lot of muling. I'm considering the very rare spiritual alpha to be basically a %30 global recharge boost, is that how most folks are looking at it?
Ah well...back to the drawing and testing board I guess. And a wee bump in case anyone has any feedback or insight for me.
I don't have much experience with DA, but I've got a few DM toons. That said, The attack chain minus Shadow Maul has never really worked out for me. It is a horribly long animation, but the abilty to cone minions in it is worth it.
As far as your build goes, it looks pretty solid to me, if absurdly expensive. Having seen your current build in action, I'm already impressed with it. Sorry I don't have any real advice for you, but I did give you a friendly bump if nothing else.
I dont have a DA but want one. May make the same combo as you have. I always hear about OG instead of CoF. After looking in mids just now, OG runs at a ton lower endurance and has alot more accuracy also.
Or couldn't you take both and leave out leaderships and get better def %s with IOs at a much lower end usage? Could even get CJ and/or Stealth for lower end usage without losing def numbers im sure. Ill play in mids and see. I may be wrong. I just dont like using leadership. End consumption is high. It even hurts my /kin. lol.

Your build does not have enough endurance management to sustain itself. You might make it work with a tier 2 Cardiac, but that's kind of locks you in. Oddly enough, you could substantially increase your recovery simply by slotting Stamina and Physical Perfection with generic end mod IOs. +end mod proc is very nice, but only after you've capped out endurance modification enhancement. The +regeneration proc does very little for Dark Armor unless you focus on +HP bonuses, which I don't recommend.
Personally, I would swap the slotting you have in Tough with Obsidian Shield, but otherwise I find nothing else wrong your with your build. I would have a slight concern with accuracy. I'm not entirely convinced Tactics will be enough to overcome it.
Thanks, Iggy. Good shifts. From building positional defense characters I never seem to remember that going less than 6 slots in Tactics can be the way to go.
Any particular reason you moved the gladiator proc from Tough to Dark Embrace? Just what happened with slot shuffling I'm assuming.
Hi Desmodos, thanks for the good point about the generic end mods in stamina, physical perfection would still be better off with the performance shifter though, right? .09 end/sec is all that a generic would get me and I usually think of the proc as just under .2 end/sec.
This build should really be alright though on endurance I think. My live build at the moment has 3.1 end/sec recovery and 2.37 end/sec drain (which is a good deal worse than this build). With DC and CP I can camp out in front of a solo AV without trouble while using the spiritual boost.

On my DM/DA has 78% accuracy in CoF with 54% Global accuracy bonuses. She can reliably fear minions. With ToF + CoF I can fear most anything, but it requires that CoF hit.
Maybe a number cruncher can compare more precisely, I'm just not convinced 10% To Hit will make up that difference.

Ok, so I tried my hand at endurance consumption math and I think that with the build below I run from full to empty on endurance in about 100 seconds using a Smite-Siphon Life-Smite-Midnight's Grasp-Shadow Maul attack chain. This build has Conserve Power recharged in about 220seconds, Dark Consumption recharged in about 70. Both pre-Spiritual Boost numbers. That should do the trick, right?

This is a pve build, the general goal of which is...well...all things awesome. Soloing AVs, running amuck at +1 or more x8, etc. The usual goals. I'm trying to fascilitate these goals with soft-capped (or very nearly) defense to S/L/E/N, and a healthy dose of recharge. Currently planning on using the spiritual alpha.

I kept Shadow Maul in the build because I enjoy it, but had to give up some recharge and end recovery for it. Did I give up too much? Can I run a Smite-SL-Smite-MG chain with this? I suspect that I can't quite. (Why do I not know how to do that calculation yet, it's embarrassing.)
