Thugs/Trick Arrow- Does it work and does it work well?

I can't speak to Thugs with TA, but I do have a Bots/TA. If you're being drawn to the prospect of lit Oil Slicks, then Bots is the way to go, all of their attacks can light it (Energy and Fire), as opposed to Thugs where the minion with the highest mortality rate is your only option. With Bots, Oil Slick ignites without fail, every time, it's glorious.
This combo is a crapton of fun, lots of -res from TA, combined with OSA and Bot aoes make this guy a real engine of destruction.
Another pro for Bots vs Thugs (I rate these 2 primaries as equal, in general) with TA is that TA isn't a great set for mitigation, and Bots are better for keeping each other alive than Thugs are, with their heals and even Repair.

Yeah, there is a guide for Bots/TA and I have a lvl 50 bots mm already. Just wanted to know if Thugs/TA is worth the time to lvl

Yeah I have one which is for keeps, I also do Ninja/TA. I think Thugs are better with /TA, Ninjas are good with my /Storm MM though.

Thugs/TA is my main... and its a killing machine, combining Oil slick with the arsonist you can devour enemies! Another benefit of TA is its mobility, you can keep moving and not have to worry about setting up traps and such. Great for PVP as well.

Since most of the pets are ranged they can still attack out of flaming oil slick range which is a great bonus, but I've been abit worried about healing. Even with my pets soft-capped defense my thugs/dark is often in need of the group heals from dark servant and myself from time to time... but maybe that is because I run +1/x8 missions.
What difficulty do you run yours on Lucius?

So... I've sorta fallen in love with the thought of doing uber damage with Trick Arrow's Oil Slick on top of hard-hitting AOEs. I was thinking about rolling a Fire/Trick Arrow Corruptor, but when I have the full range of powers I would be shooting arrows for about 5-7 seconds before I could actually start to attack.
Then I began thinking about Thugs/Trick Arrow since the Arsonist has similar fire AOE attacks and the thought of doing Rain of Fire comparable damage on top of a lit Oil Slick has me more than just a little curious.
Also, I would generally only have to worry about 1 pet running out of the lit oil slick as opposed to 5 with my Necro/TA mm.
I tend to pick rare power combinations and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this combo?
