Chat Channels and SG/VG Management
What do you mean? The /chan_timeout command?
I think that was the name. It was released a couple issues back. I am not a Moderator of channel so I have not played with the command.

If a global SG/VG chat channel has 2500+ people in it. It is not an SG/VG. It has to be something else like BASE BUILDERS channel or something. I never heard of a limit. Although, I have not been a moderator of a global channel that had that many people in it.
A mod on one of my Global Chat channels was stalking about the autokick feature still doesn't work. I was wondering if there was a way that the Mods of a Channel could get a access to a list of People that have access to the Channel. Similar to the way the SG list is made, which shows last login. This way when a channel reaches 2500 accounts some could be cleared out by the mods to allow new people to join.
For SG and Chat Channels it would also be nice to see if the Accounts are active or not. This would also help keep SG and Chat Channels available for active players. |
One thing I am worrying about is what if said inactive person comes back from being gone a while. That person now would have to try and find a person that is a moderator of said channel and be invited back into channel.
Well, I know it didn't work initially, then it worked a patch later... if it doesn't work again, then that's... just... I dunno, dumb or something.
Also yeah, a global channel can only have 2500 members in it; that's total, whether they're active or not. That's what the chan_timeout command is for.
