First let me thank Rice for hosting this. If I am correct this was the largest payout for any event hosted on Victory. Not only did he pay out 3.5 billion inf, he also gave out 2 panacea end/heal IOs (valued about 1.2 billion), an Apoc valued at 500 million and a set of sleep purples vauled at ~500million.

I for one had a great time, I ended up being teamed with Vanum, me on my spines/regen and he was on a psi/em blaster.

Round 1: We faced off against Bambi and Nugget, Vanum and I didn't talk much strategy just that we would try to spike Nugget and if Bambi Absorbed Pain we would switch to her. Unfortunately, neither of us brought yellows and couldn't stay locked on Bambi when she did AP. Between her heals and Nugget's evasion we couldn't get a kill. After 7 and 1/2 minutes I coverted 9 reds into 3 yellows and went after Bambi. We were able to finally get a kill with only 70 secs left in the match and ended up getting one more before time expired.

Round 2: We faced off against Bug and Lin. Vanum and I talked and decided our best strategy would be to attack Bug and hope that we could catch Lin after he used Shared Pain. Bug kept me TK'd and grounded most of the match, but between Vanum and my damage output we were able to get a few kills and come out with a win.

Round 3: We had a bye round and watched what had to be one of the most 'interesting' matches of the night. Ele and Gris vs Bambi and Nugget. Ele and Gris both DC'd at the same time in the match. I have to give Bambi and Nugget credit for agreeing to a rematch rather then just taking a cheap win. In the restart, Ele and Gris again DC'd almost immediately after zoning into the arena map. 3rd time was the charm and Ele and Gris end up over powering Bambi and Nugget and moved on the semi's with the other two undefeated teams: Wac with Chop and Vanum with myself.

Semis- 2V2V2. Vanum and I talked during the last match and realized that our toughest opponent would most likely be Ele on Rad/Psi and Gris on Sonic/Pain. My acc is not the greatest and if Ele debuffed me I would be pretty much useless for most of the match. The both had self heals and Gris had buffs and heals as well. So we decided we needed to try to keep their kill count as low as possible and hopefully we could get into the finals against Wac and Chop. We started out the match as intended keeping the pressure on Ele and Gris, Chop was racking up some kills and I didn't see that Vanum had gotten spiked twice by the 6 minute mark. After checking the scores I realized we needed to shift into agressive mode and started to try to spike low HP targets and focusing more on getting kills then just being disruptive. When the smoke cleared I think we had a couple of kills more then Ele and Gris and ended up sneaking into the finals.

Finals!!!!!!

Psi/Em, Spines/Regen vs Psi/Em, Spines/Regen (wot!?). Vanum and I talked strategy again, and decided our best option was to red rush Wac and try to burn him out of greens early. Vanum only brought Greens and I only brought reds. Our strategy seemed to work very well, we got a quick kill on Wac and by the 5 min mark I think he was out of greens. I was taunting both of them anytime that Wac when down to pull aggro off of Vanum. We ened up getting a win and started to plan for round 2.

Round 2. I had agreed not to taunt the blaster the 2nd round, and Vanum and I decided to keep the same strategy as the 1st round. However, this time Wac and Chop got the jump on us and put Vanum down in the first 90 secs of the match. We quickly regrouped and had to play catch up. After missclicking taunt twice while targeting Wac I just moved it out of my power tray and played the rest of the match without that power. Vanum's careful insp usage and ability to lock on targets helped to lead us to a 2nd Victory over a very tough team.

I just want to say I had a blast being able to pvp and I was really impressed at how well people did in this event, I think everyone is progressing really well and I hope next Sunday we have more fun!

Thanks again Rice for hosting this.

There were lots of great matches. Everybody's skill level has greatly improved over the past couple weeks. Keep up with the practices and later down the road, I'll try to put together a 3v3 or 4v4 tourney.

By the next tourney, lots of ya will have IO'd out characters and/or new characters. The small team PVP definitely is more exciting than 2v2s.

Thanks everybody for showing up and congrats to all.
