So i realize this is the scrapper forums and all but its a bit more responsive here and lets face it they are very similar. Anyhow my main goal was to get softcapped to smashing/lethal and push regen up as high as i could get it without making sacrifices. Money is not really an issue though i do not want to go buy the pvp def io. He will mainly be a taskforce/av toon. So without further ado, here is the build:

BassAckwards posted a DM/Invuln guide on here (or, really, her build over time) which had a lot of cool slotting for /Invuln on it. Worth a search on her user name.

I've debated a KM/Invuln cause I think it would look really cool and comic booky. But my inner min/maxer keeps saying to pair KM with SD ... and I already have enough SD toons .... Let me know how yours fares.

You should try to soft cap E/N defense if you don't want to appear squishy on teams. Energy damage is the most common damage type after S/L. Focused Burst could use 3 Thunderstrikes. That's all I see without making major changes to the build.

You could enhance Tough if you pulled a slot from Combat Jumping and Burst.

Also - i haven't checked your build, but you might want to make sure you have enough recharge to run the optimal KM chain.

BB - SB - QS - BB - SB - CS - REPEAT

Cs: 204%
sb: 195%
bb: 100%
qs: 0%

[I beleve these numbers potentially all include +rchrg from Hasten, = 70% .. e.g. CS would be 204-70 = 134 needed in CS itself or CS plus other global recharge % buffs]

Some people replace QS with FB for a minor loss in DPS but gaining a ranged attack.

Ok let me make sure i get this straight. Not including hasten i need 134% recharge in CS for this chain. Right now i currently have 35% global rech and 63.4% rech in enhancements which means i need 35.6% more rech for that chain correct?

I have a KM/SR Brute that's a lot of fun to play based on a Speedster concept. Took all the primary powers save taunt (Still with RT was knockdown...) and will take all the secondaries, plus Body Mastery for Superiors Conditioning and Physical Perfection. Toss in Hasten and Super Speed, Combat Jumping and Tough. No weave, no room and soft capped in mids with the right IOs.

She's only 36 right now, but plenty of fun.

Or just go directly to the latest build: http://bit.ly/gODfbK

Not a guide as Granite has said, but just a bunch of folks who have contributed to making a build that was very much in tune to my playstyle.

Might be able to get some slotting ideas out of it though. Build is expensive.

I think everything's expensive these days. I had to retrofit my DM/SD the other day -- buying enzymes, membranes, etc. along with some purples and even LOTGs .... I swear th Hami-Os are over 300M now each and ragnaroks each around the same, with LOTGs at 180M??

Those weren't buy-it-nao prices but maybe 2-3 days of marketing tops. So maybe I could have saved 1/3 overall if I had been patient. Crazy times.

I did take a look at your builds and i must say im impressed and it did totally change my slotting. I know i said originally i didnt want to buy the pvp def io but curiosity has changed that lol. I came up with a new build that is softcapped to smashing, lethal, fire, and cold while being 2% away from softcapped to energy and negative. I have been racking my brain over and over on how to get softcapped to energy and negative but have had no luck so far. I'm also 10% rech away from having the proper amount for CS for the optimal chain which by my calculations is fixable by adding the incarnate slot. So here is my new build.

I'd be inclined to lose some of the F/C defense in favor of E/N (swap out the ageis 3slots for a 4th slot of Reactive) -- then move those slots to Power Siphont to 6-slot Gaussian for +3% global def. And then you can mess around with recharge slotting for CS ... maybe pull 3 spare slots out of other places, slot up boxing with 4 Kinetic Combats (for S/L), and replace the CS slotting with a set that has more recharge like Hecatomb.

I'm sure there's a way to do something like that while also preserving F/C but on the fly I didn't see it.

When doing the above I'd be inclined to ditch tactics and pick up assault instead.

Here you go! First thing is: Would you be willing to give up your travel power and use Ninja Run + Sprint instead? These days I never make any builds with travel powers (unless for theme) and don't miss them one bit. I've moved some things around and got you to S/L/F/C/E/N softcapped Defense with 1 foe in Melee. This will be a very sturdy build without going into extreme expense. Could use more Recharge, but with the Rare and Very Rare Alpha boosts on their way with Issue 19.5 that would definitely help out. Getting the 45% Recharge/33% Heal Spiritual boost would apply the ED ignored Healing portion (22%) on top of Dull Pain so you'd be closer to the HP cap. With just the Uncommon you're probably already at perma-Dull Pain. Endurance won't be a problem if you're not against eating a blue Inspiration once in a while.

I think there's a step beyond Bass's build, that probably involves not 6-slotting Gaussian in Power Siphon. And stuffing in a little more recharge to run the top chain. But I didn't find it yet mucking about on MIDS.

I figured the full set of Gaussian was excusable because it gives good Recharge enhance values.

With CS just being 12% off what i need I am fine with just using spiritual which would give me more then enough recharge to run that chain.
