You'll need to open your team menu (even if solo) at the top of the chat box and click the Quit Task Force button at the bottom of it. Unfortunately that will also drop the mission you took instead of just letting you complete it at your full level as all of the arcs accessed in Ouroboros are treated as Task Forces.
Friends are just enemies that haven't betrayed you yet.
