First, you're better off making the thread in the Brute forum. Not because it doesn't belong here, but you might get better advice there.
That said, it comes down to personal preference. I personally enjoy War Mace more than Battle Axe due to the attack chain's flow. My friend prefers his Battle Axe. We both kick butt.... and occasionally we both use shovels.
