Testing has shown that weapon draw times do not affect your DPS.
I prefer Defenders over Corrupters. Corrupters get a slightly higher base damage and ~25% damage bonus from scourge. Defenders get a 30% damage bonus when solo and have much better values on buffs and debuffs. A solo Defender does almost as much damage as a solo Corrupter. In a team, your teammates can do damage better if they are buffed better or the mobs' resistances are debuffed more.
so i want to pair archery with cold domination (or storm summoning-tho the amount of redrawing you have to do is annoying at times) and I'm unsure whether to play defender or a corrupter the stats suggest much of a muchness (except the shields) but I'm asking ppl with experience of both or one or the other which works better. Asking for a preference i guess.
