Fire/Mental s/l/e cap 153% recharge

Just wondering how a build like this would compare with a range capped build or a ranged/aoe capped build? Was thinking s/l/e is better because I go in with drain psyche and risk melee.

Any areas of improvement?

Replace the Range in Blaze with a Centriole.

Replace the common recharges in Aim and Concentration with Adj Targeting: Recharge and To-hit/Recharge.

With Drain Psyche recharging so quickly, I'd drop the common IO out of Stamina and put it into Hover as a Fly speed. If you are happy with Hover's current speed, then maybe drop it into Rain of Fire or Hasten as a common recharge. Perhaps drop it into Fireball as the Posi Blast proc or into Psy Shockwave as a proc or an Acc/Dam enhancer of some sort.

I would drop TK Thrust and take Mind Probe instead, but I prefer the attack power to the control power. You could also keep TK Thrust, drop Fly and pick up Mind Probe and put the Kinetic Combats in Mind Probe instead of Brawl.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

Thanks for the advice. Some questions:

I am already over cap for s/l def so not sure why i should replace the two common recharge IO's.

I am not sure what a Centeriole is, and if I don't need extra range in blaze?

Are you sure I will be fine with only twoslotted stamina (one being PS proc)? Also against one oppenent like an AV?

A Centriole is a Damage/Range Hamidon enhancement. It will give you a full SO worth of range and also a full SO worth of damage... you'll lose 2 feet of range but boost your damage to the ED cap.

The reason to replace the recharges in Aim and Concentration with Adjusted Targeting IOs is the 2% damage set bonus. You lose 2 seconds of recharge but gain 4% +damage and boost the to-hit a bit which may help against Paragon Protectors or AVs with defense based godmode powers.

Drain Psyche with one target gives you Stamina-level recovery all by itself, so dropping the common IO from Stamina should be fine. You'll have more recovery than you know what to do with most of the time and even if Drain Psyche misses you won't run dry in 30 seconds since with your set bonuses you'll still have the recovery of 3-slotted Stamina plus the Perf. Shifter proc.
