That 2nd error comes from the server. The first one you probably got was Assertion Failure - are you using a Mac with ATI based video?

yes thank you! It was an assertion failure and yes im using an iMac with an ATI HD vid card. Ive never had either of those two crashes before.
I rarely crash, but tonight i crashed twice. unfortuantely the first crash message i dont remember and was different than the second which was
"You have been forced out of the server. closing map."
