There is a short tutorial mission arc available at the University in Steel Canyon or Cap au Diable that explains the basics of the invention system.

In Praetoria, you'll get an introduction in Imperial City (I forget the contact's name.) They provide a tutorial.
Villainside, take the ferry to Cap au Diable from Port Oakes.
im a noob here and i have no clue how to use the inemting sysem or where to go. my biggest problem is finding the place to use the inventing systtem. ive found the back to store my stuff in but i cant find the inventing table. pleae a lil help here
