Sharpie Mechanical Pencil.....

The Sharpie Liquid Mechanical Pencil, I recently purchased this item (curious to see how it works) thinking that my previous uses of a Sharpie product were pretty good.....However, I feel I must say that this item is very disappointing and you have to hold this item at an awkward straight up and down and push hard on the pencil to get it to write properly.....

Anyone else used this product?

Essentially it's a badly constructed pen that uses a liquid graphite ink instead of normal ink.

I've seen them and had a chance to try them.

This is not the first time I have seen a liquid graphite "pencil." I can say that the others I have used are not all the good. And they didn't erase as well as a regular pencil either.

I had one several years ago. It was a freebie, back before they were being sold, given away online as a marketing campaign. It worked, but it didn't impress me enough to make me give up using my Space Pen, so I tossed it into a box and forgot about it.

Then I dug it out a few months ago, discovered that whatever they suspended the graphite in had solidified, leaked out or evaporated. No more worky. Trashed it. *shrug*

its a shame that a company such as Sharpie would put a product that is inferior to most of the other products they put out. Ah well, live and learn.....
