How long has Prot been raidin? It worked well for all the times before and "concerned" parties always managed to show up. Just because you cant be bothered to check the boards doesnt mean the whole leadership needs to change what theyre doin....

Months. Alternating weeks between the Hive and the Abyss.

Yep. Dissect one line from multiple messages and claim that's what I'm all about.

Never mind that I take time out of my sleep schedule between work shifts to participate in the Hami raids and that most of my Nuke-hunting time comes out of this same block of time. Nope, I have zero cause to be even mildly irritable about finding out about it at quarter-to that it's been pre-cancelled.

I'll respond to this once I've had some sleep. Right now I'm not really in any condition to respond to this civilly.

To those who are still arguing, take it to tells. I think I speak for everyone in the leadership when I say that we do these raids to help the community, not create drama. Raids will resume next week. Yesterday's canceled raid was because Nomme and I were attending the Bay Area M&G. Last week's was the result of a low turnout. Any questions feel free to post here. Keep it constructive please.

If somebody you're arguing with goes off the deep end, don't follow.

EDIT: Sorry, Kid. I guess I was typing this while you posted. I can be done with it.

Please stop putting words in my mouth. This is at least the second time in this thread you've done it. I made no such claim.

However, you said you were:

Quote:
helping the current leadership make the process more hassle free for all involved by suggesting alternate methods of setting up and delineating appropriate turnout and communication for raids?
But I was responding with frustration to:

Quote:
Someone drop me a tell if a raid is actually going to go off one of these days.
So, I can understand that since you didn't know the raid was canceled that you would be irritated, especially after you put the effort into grabbing nukes for it.

I can also understand that you would irritated enough by that to say something snarky.

Can you understand that perhaps others were irritated enough by that comment to respond with irritation as well? It was a bitchy little comment and it irritated me enough that I responded even after trying really hard to talk myself out of it.

We don't take canceling raids lightly, it rarely happens, and, personally, I was already frustrated because of the lack of turnout at the previous raid and the decision to cancel this one. Short of setting up a phone tree... there really wasn't a great way to get the word out.

Perhaps a separate thread for the discussion? I don't know.

Kid,

I've been to a few of the raids since I have come back to the game. I would like to just say a huge Thanks! I really have appreciated the efficiency that you have brought to the raids as well as the frequency of the radis. In the past, raids weren't always quite as organized or as frequent. Having both of these in place have made the raids enjoyable. I truely hope that you will continue to find time to run these raids or at least help with anyone that chooses to take the reins. It has been a pleasure to be a participant. Thank you for doing all that you've done for Protector!
