Crashing/Freezing After Hitting 'Apply Now' in Options.

Also, does this issue have anything to do with trashing Preferences before I play? I am finding I am having to do this every time to get the game to start.
Which build of the Mac client are you using (check your version by clicking the City of Heroes application ONCE and selecting Get Info from the File menu)?
If you're using a build earlier than 4462, the newer build might solve some of your problems. You can download it from your NCSoft account page.

***UPDATE** Installed latest client for Mac like suggested, no help 
also keep having to trash preferences every time I play, otherwise game wont start up, constant black screen, making me force quit.
Been having this nagging issue recently, am loathe to start a new toon or change options on an existing one. Whenever I reset my keys where I want them, bubble text colors, etc., I hit "Apply Now" and it goes to the loading screen....and just stops. the Progress bar never fills. Eventually after 10 mins of waiting I have to manually restart my comp.
Anyone else experiencing this...?
