Question about Shields and Melee Attacks
I haven't noticed, but if there's a difference, it is almost certainly an animation difference only.

It doesn't matter. Your damage will be the same regardless.

ironically, when you get Against All Odds, it boosts your damage... so with that turned on you'll actually do MORE damage 1 handed then the same 2 handed move by a non-shield scrapper. But as already stated, it's just visual display thing and has nothing to do with the actual damage.
Does anyone have video of 1 handed animations? I haven't had the pleasure of seeing this in person yet.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
I just started up my second Scrapper in Praetora. Currently a level 7 KM/SD. My first Scrapper was a Fire/Fire. For my KM/SD when using my toggle power Deflection Shield, it appears that my melee is limited to one hand attacks. When I turn this off it appears that I am now using both hands in my attacks. With that being said, am I seeing things or is this meant to be meaning that if I want to impose more damage, I need to turn off my Deflection Shield so I can use "both" hands for my Quick Strike, Smashing Blow or other melee attack powers and if I want to sacrifice some damage for more protection I need to turn my Deflection Shield on? Am I seeing this right or does it not matter if I have my shield held in my left hand or not?
