Sound only plays via laptop speakers
I have USB headphones to test with, but not here - I'll test it at the end of the week when I have access to them.

Thanks, I really appreciate this.
Borrowed a Logitech USB headset and tried it out. You have to follow these steps in the correct order:
1. Plug in the headset.
2. Open System Preferences and select "Sound"
3. Switch both the Input and Output to the Logitech USB Headset.
4. Launch City of Heroes.
CoH is not able to switch sound sources on-the-fly for some reason, so all of that has to be set up before you launch the game.

Thank you, That does seem to work. The sound is oddly distorted so I'm not sure how long it will work but it is better than nothing I suppose
I may just have to get off my butt and get a standard headset even tho I'm always killing the cords.

Hi,
I have a MBP running Snow Leopard and a wireless USB headset that I use for vent. My computer is set to use my headset for input, output, and system, SoundSource confirms this.
However, CoX stubbornly refuses to play game audio through the headset. Everything else works just fine: iTunes, vent, system sounds, etc. I have Going Rogue. I have tried changing CoH to "Performance" audio from "compatibility." And I have tried turing off 3D sound. Nothing has worked.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
