Illusion Decoys that look like you?

With the inclusion (and almost downright obsession) of doppleganger type enemies... I was wonder if it were possible to alter the Decoy Army power so that they looked like your character?

It's possible it would require quite a bit of an investment, but I think it would be a rather interesting alteration. Especially if you could choose which costume number they use in the tailor.

I don't PvP at all and even I can see what mess something like that would be in there...

Only if it's an option. My Illusionists Phantoms are her enemies fears realized, so in that regard they should not look anything like my Illusionist. I'd be much happier if my Phantom Army could be the same appearance as my Phantasm, ie barely there.

Blue Ribbit: Isn't that the point of a decoy, though?
In all honesty... I hadn't thought of PvP applications. Do the decoys names show up to the enemy? I mean, if it shows 'Phantom Decoy' to everyone, I don't see much of a problem in terms of PvP confusion anyway.

Red Valkyrja: That does seem like a better way to do it. I could see how some people wouldn't like their Decoy Army pets to change either. Adding it as an option makes everyone happy. =)

Though it isn't the same thing, you can make yourself look like one of your decoys. One of my illusionist's costumes looks like the decoys; I've seen several others do the same thing.

It's not a big deal to tab through the decoys in PvP, but it does take time. Combined with Deceive, however, it can make fighting illusionists a royal pain in the neck.

Heh. Yeah, I've done this too.

I seem to remember either Castle or BABs saying that they tried to make that an option shortly after the doppelganger tech was put in, but some technical issue kept them from making it work in-game.

My story arcs: #2370- Noah Reborn, #18672- The Clockwork War, #31490- Easy Money

Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?

Just do as is done with minimal FX armor sets in PvP. Make them behave as if they haven't been customized at all.

Though, if you're not checking to see what you're targeting before you blast, you have bigger issues than someone looking like their pets...
