I just recently dusted off my Invul/axe that has been in mothballs for a good 740 days. Does anyone have a good build that leaves the character softcapped while still incorporating great damage?

Here is my Invuln/Axe for what its worth. I'm not a fan of purple sets, I prefer the +Def of the orange sets more. you can swap some Kinetic Combats for the smashing Haymakers in Kick at about 100 times the cost (literally) for a bit of extra defense.

Volcanic, with I19 looming around the corner, this is my planned build when Stamina become inherent. The slots in BRAWL are holders for Health/Stamina slotting. With this build and only one mob in range of Invinc, Smashing, Lethal, Energy, and negative energy are all at 43.4% defense. 2 mobs puts me at the defense cap for all of these items. Dull Pain is also Perma. Good times!

If you're looking to make your tanker as tough as possible check out my soft cap guide; it's written from a secondary-neutral perspective so it applies to any Invuln tanker you want to toughen up.

Inv / axe is a very nice combo (along with mace) because it has all the inv goodness and axe provides three acceptable single target attacks combined with three decent aoe's. This allows careful set bonus selection to let you softcap vs all with only one guy in range with very little sacrifice, especially with I19 looming around the corner.

LOL, mine has been softcapped like this for years, and I didn't even bother to take the energy passives! With I19 I'll probably add in the passives, too.
