Very excited to be part of the organisation for this party. There'll be the usual costume judging going on throughout the evening, generally held less as a structured competition and more as the guys in charge (that's us!) running around the site oohing and aahing over people's costumes, handing out rewards/prizes as we see fit. At least, that's how it'll work if it's the same as last time.
There'll also be a few other little events that I'm very excited about. Will be posting further details here as they're worked out.

Two more days to go to ECHO! The Dauntless Reverie is getting ready for the party, and looking forward to hosting it for the noble heroes of Paragon.

Our very own Elysienne crafted a story for this event, which was broken up amongst seven muses, who flew to the four corners of Ouroboros to be discovered by partygoers. The first three to find all the pieces and recompose the tale were granted prizes!

1st place, 25 million inf: Way Watcher
2nd place, 15 million inf: Hidden Hero
3rd place, 10 million inf: Dead Girls Don't Cry
The tale:
1
Long there was a pair of lovers. He was handsome, and she was brilliant. She was displaced from time, and he was a wild magician. They loved one another in the time of the Dark Ages, a dangerous and unpredictable era.

The man found a crystal deep within a cave. It glowed from within with a rosy light, and filled his eyes with its beauty. He thought to himself, “this is the only thing that can match my love, and so it must be made hers.”

He gave the crystal to his love, and she took it in her hands. In an instant, though the man did not know it, she was taken and imprisoned within the crystal. Something with rose-light in its eyes took her place within the world.

The false woman was possessive and hungry, and demanded love and food and comfort from the man, more and more all the time while the woman within the crystal beat upon the walls of prison she had found herself in.

The man found he had grown intelligent, thanks the knowledge his true love had taught him. He saw the falsehood of the rosy-eyed creature. And to survive in the rose prison, the woman found she had to grow wild like her love.

She survived by tooth and nail and wild magic, beating back the creatures within the prison, while the man snared the false echo of his love in a cunning trap of artifice. By the fusion of their talents, they defeated the echo.

The man sent the echo screaming back into its prison, while the woman clawed her way free of the rose prison. Together they shattered the beautiful temptation of the crystal, pledging never to part again.

The creepy twins are awesome. Great costume. I wasn't able to make it, but I'm glad to hear the event went well.
A FLYER has been found posted on light posts, trees, building walls, and business bulletin boards throughout Paragon City.
An accompanying card, black with silver and gold finely printed text, is found in a holder close to the FLYER. Heroes also may have received the card in the mail. The text of the card is below.

The 7th Annual ECHO!
So please, join us at the Dauntless Reveries 7th Annual ECHO as we celebrate The Season of Masks, and masquerade as your "echo" or "opposite" a reinterpretation or antithesis of yourself. There will be contests and prizes, music and coverage of the party (graciously provided by The Cape Radio and our own DJ Vangelus), dancing of course, good fellowship and fun.
Festivities will commence at 6 o'clock in the evening EST, Sunday, the twenty-fourth day of October. Please RSVP to Nyght-shade by email on your Paragon PDA, or visit our on-line RSVP form.
The location will be released on the day of the event. Watch your mail-boxes or this location for more information.
