Client download problem

After not playing the game for a long time, i decided to check out the latest updates, but im not able to download the client. The updater takes about 10 minutes to go through connecting/downloading manifest files, and then starts downloading the game at 2-5KB/sec. The EU client however downloads fine, at about 400kb/sec.
I do not have a firewall, and i disconnected my router.
Any advice/solutions would be appreciated!
