My First Real Post and Build!

Hey everyone,

I've been reading the forums and learning about builds so I figured it's about time I gave it a shot. I've put together a pvp build, but I'd love some input as I have no experience.

Thanks in advance

I've got no PvP build experience either, but I thought I'd say "Hey there!" and "Welcome!" I'll leave it up to the pros for your build critique!

Well... I wrote out a crapload of stuff... then realized it might be better to just build it out and explain why I did what I did.

Also, I'm in the habit of building for post i19 things, when fitness is free. So that variation makes a big difference.

Confront these days has -range in it, which is essential for (lolmelee) pvpers. So grabbing that will help, and FSC will be helpful for those pesky MMs you might jump headfirst into.

The slow resist unique is a good choice for any regen, and having the kismet +6% tohit in a toggle you'll actually be using is important also (it only turns on when you turn on the power it's in. This was a semi-recent change).
The attacks seem to be poorly slotted, and this is actually where I'm not so sure about the build. They have pretty good enhancement values, but each attack has at least 2 procs (incinerate has 3, because you should be using it the most). Since you'll mostly be jumping around like crazy, confronting and web-nading, then spiking with only 1 or 2 (if you're lucky) attacks, you want quick hard hits that don't take long to fire off.
So, ideally, you'll nade them to the ground, incinerate, then GFS them as they try to get up and run away. Hopefully, between 5 procs, your DoT, and standard damage, that will be enough to drop just about anyone that isn't highly survivable.

The build also carries plenty of endurance, even with 2 travel powers and Drone running. The regen is high, and recharge is up there as well.

Typically, this forum is for general pve scrapper junk. If you have a pvp question, ask in pvp land. They're nowhere near as nice as us, but they definitely know what they're talking about (when compared to us, as far as pvp builds go). Most of us here just don't build toons like they do; as our worlds are very different.

Flurry ftw, hardest hitting melee in pvp, drop a set of doc wounds(cause exceeded max of 5 in that catagory)put in 3 numina`s and 3 miracles in reconstruction(1st 3 form numina and miracle)get more HP regen and rec.
tbh your survivability will be much better with TOUGH in build and Resiliance, imo fitness pool is not needed, just slot a bit better for more +recovery...its not a bad build, but you really need to sort out the acc+dam in your attacks.anyway have fun with it,they great toons

Wow!

Thanks everyone for your input. I looked at your build Elegost and it's beautiful. I'm saddened at Trekkie's remark about flurry because it's true . 1k + flurry damage...

As for FSC, I completely agree but now I'm wondering to swap it for flurry. The real question I guess now would be:

Is flurry fast or is it slow like sands of mu?

P.S. No Fitness pool is gonna be so weird. Staple food of Coh since what? Beta?

The animations are identical.

Thanks!

Sadly with that knowledge, the damage output is greatly outweighed by the "kill me" sign I'll be putting on my head by using flurry. The attack is just too slow when people are flying around like pigeons with diarrhea.

Once again thank you so much for you input!

LOL attack on flurry to slow???,it has a 2sec recharge,and hits like a brick,drop cremate,or incinerate.

Wow. I only figured because of it's animation I'd be a sitting duck

Oh wow. Looking at Mids' in PvP mode... Flurry does hit hard. Good grief! Why is a pool power so much better than everything else?! The only thing that comes close is Concentrated Strike from Kinetic Melee and that Recharges at a base 20 seconds!

I don't PvP, so I thought you were possibly joking.

They are joking, current PvP is a joke.

No pvp builder/expert by a looooong shot ... but the reason as I understand it is tied to its long animation. Longer animation a power has the more damage it does in pvp.

pvp rules are silly. I'd forgotten about that, too. Honestly, Shraks might be a better mastery to take over weapons, but I 'm not really even sure anymore.
/em sadface
How this pvp is more friendly towards non-hardcore pvpers is beyond me. It's so counter intuitive in so many ways.
