9-9-10 Updater Patch Fails

I couldn't find any posts that specifically matched my problem.

I get the following error message aftering reaching 5.7M/3.6G while running the updater patch:

"Error writing -1 bytes to file C:\Program Files\City of Heroes/tempfile
You may be out of disk space or you may be trying to install to a location where you have insufficient permissions."

I have more than 50% free disk space and I tried launching CoH from my admin account as well as from my user account. I also renamed the tempfile in the CoH directory, which caused the creation of a new tempfile. Both files are empty. This is the first time I've had difficulty with the patcher. Can someone help me?

Computer:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ 3.20 GHz
3.00 GB Ram
Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit OS
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

I have this problem occasionally as well, just click Ok or whatever the choice is that isn't cancel, and you should be fine. It'll update the game files normally and you can play like usual.

Thanks, but the OK button was grayed out. However, I am embarrassed to say that a simple reboot of my computer solved the problem. (If only I had a nickel for every time IT has told me to reboot, I'd be rich and embarrassed at my oversight.)
