Villain Morality end mish completing early ?

The "SPEAK TO YOUR FUTURE SELF" has for the last 3 occasions completed way too early. Long before I speak to (and defeat) my future self, the mission completes as soon as I run into a mob near myself. When I first ran this, it worked fine and I had to speak and defeat my future self for the mission to end .... Anyone else having this problem?
(two different toons this has happened to)

I never even saw 'my future' self - the mission simply completed once I reached the back room.

I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.

Must be a recent patch breaking it, first time I ran this (and a time a bit after running a friend's) it worked properly.
