An evening in Nova Praetoria

The woman who now called herself Spring Solstice stood casually in the fountain in the center of the city, enjoying the tingly feeling as the roots in her feet took in water. Smiling as the evening breeze ruffled the leaves on her head, she watched the hustle and bustle as others ran, jumped and flew in all directions around the square. Yes indeed, she thought to herself, Nova P has become the place to be, and she was going to be riding the front of the wave.

Spring bent to pick up a newspaper left on the rim of the fountain. Glancing at the front page, she smiled as she recognized a story here and there referencing some of the things she had done of the past few days. flipping the paper open to the classifieds, she began scanning the ads.

"Well, still no groups hiring," she spoke under her breath, "I wonder if my ad made this issue..."

Scanning the pages of ads, she finally found her own, near the bottom of the last page of ads. 'A tree in the city'...she almost giggled at her own clever and humorous title. This ad would certainly get her the attention she deserved. Putting a hand to her side, she removed her cell phone from the mat of vines at her waist and flipped it open. Pressing the power button, she smiled and waited for the device to power up.

"WHAT!?! Not a single message? How is is possible?"

Grabbing up the paper, she narrowed her eyes and studied her ad. Smart...yes, the ad was right...pretty...funny...great conversationalist, good with plants.....empathic. There it all was, word for word as she had dictated it. The perfect ad describing her perfect self. What was the problem?

"What is their problem?" Spring said out loud, drawing a few puzzled stares from people doing business with the vendor, "they must not know what they're missing....everyone should want to know me!"

Pouting slightly, Spring turned and stomped out of the fountain. "I'll go talk to Tunnel Rat...at least she likes the way my flowers smell..."

((With how new it is, I don't think anyone really knows where to go in NP to find RP. XD Might I suggest joining the global channel Praetoria United? It's a new channel intended to help Praetorian roleplayers find each other and organize things.))

"They forgot the salsa again!" Val muttered and rummaged in the paper bag full of food that she'd just picked up from El Super Mexicano. While the 6 taquitos for a dollar special was clearly worth it, the over-worked staff kept leaving out the side stuff and Val had people waiting.

Her searching fingers closed on a small plastic container and she pulled it from the bag with a crow of triumph. Instead of the dark red paste she preferred to dip her taquitos in, the container was filled with a brown-black mixture. She opened the top and sniffed it carefully then held it at arms length. "Fertilizer! They got my order mixed up again!"

DJ Valor, CAPE radio DJ and general foodie, sighed in frustration and wandered off. There was always a risk in a place as diverse as Paragon that a mixed up food order could be unpleasant or possibly even fight back. This time she was lucky. Maybe that new plant girl would like it.

[Nice to meet you the other night Spring! See you around!]

(( Welcome! If you're looking for RP, Studio 55 in Imperial City is a good way to start. But I've also seen RP happen in the Magisterium itself, too. ))
