Mac is 100% correct as usual, furthermore, that dark/dark would be a decent 1v1 toon because of the nasty heal and the -to hit, killing things might be a little tough due to the sub-par damage of dark.
What would I do to make the 1v1 D/D Def toon?
Lots of procs and Focused Accuracy from Mace Mastery (switch to villain, run patron arc, switch back), or Leadership + Hibernate (which again requires a side switch).

I know pvp is dead. I know these builds aren't traditional, but is there any hope?
I have two toons sitting in my closet. My BS/WP scrapper, and my dark/dark defender. What needs to be done? I don't worry about money. It will come. I can wait.
I don't PvP much anymore. What do I need to put into a build. I understand the idea of zone PvP is blast, blast, phase. Can I do that with a Dark/Dark. I really would like to do something with the Dark/Dark, but I'm not sure if PvP will work out for him. I will give him a second build of course.
