Can't connect to dbserver

I was on the servers fine this morning, then did an NVIDIA upgrade. After the upgrade, got the message Can't connect to dbserver. Did a system restore to before the update, still getting same message. Running Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. Are the servers down or is my machine now a boat anchor?

Sometimes that happens, I have gotten that a few times and what I do is just keep trying to connect, you will get it

Shutting down and relaunching CoX, usually works for me.

Back when I had Norton clogging my system I had to re-allow CoX and the Updater often. Check your firewall and re-allow both .exe's.

Thanks for the ideas. I did try doing a restart and that seemed to help once, but not the next time. The firewall does not seem to be getting in the way, but I'll give it another look. Thanks again for the reassurance. I thought sure I had killed my OS or something.
