Jane Badler signs up for V remake

You've got to love their thinking here. As ABC presses ahead with the second season of its V ‘reimagining', it's pulled a smart casting move that neatly brings the old and new takes on the show together.

It's been revealed that Diana from the original V series, Jane Badler, has joined the cast of the new version. And - are you ready for this? - she'll be playing Anna's mother this time around.

We've no idea how far into V season 2 Badler will appear, just that right now the show is in production, ahead of its return in November.

I'm sorry. The new series still stinks and even having the original Diana on the show isn't going to help. But hey at least she's getting work
